Having graduated at the top of his class from Georgetown University Medical School, Dr. Capone has continued along the path of excellence with his plastic surgery practice in Pittsburgh. Now, with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Capone is the President of the Greater Pittsburgh Plastic Surgery Society and is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Medical Director at Shadyside Surgi-Center, and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Capone has earned his status as a prominent plastic surgeon in Pittsburgh, PA by serving on the Bioethics Advisory Committee of the Allegheny County Medical Society, the Bioethics Commission of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Board of Directors for the Arthritis Foundation.
Dr. Capone has been a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1984. He achieved board certification for hand surgery as a result of his special interest in helping patients with arthritic deformities of the hand.
